Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz at the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Premiere

It had been said that Kate Middleton's wedding dress would influence bridalwear for years to come. But it seems her Alexander McQueen lace gown is influencing more than that, as Penelope Cruz showed when she arrived at the premiere of Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in London last night wearing a full-length white lace dress. 

The 37-year-old star looked stunning in the white Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown, which featured zip detailing on the front and sides, which she teamed with gold accessories and poker straight hair. Cruz was just one of the stars to attend the premiere, held at London's Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush, and appeared in good spirits as she posed on the bright blue carpet. 

Her co-star Johnny Depp arrived to a chorus of hysterical screaming from his thousands of female fans, and cut a sharp appearance, in contrast to his sometimes scruffy style, in a smart dark grey suit and green shirt.

In the new Pirates film, Cruz plays Angelica, the daughter of Blackbeard, played by Ian McShane, and an old flame of Depp's character Captain Jack Sparrow. The pair then embark on a mission together to try to find the fabled Fountain Of Youth. And while the movie is full of exciting action sequences and explosive special effects, Cruz was actually pregnant during filming.

Suri Cruise: 5-year-old fashion tastes

Welcome to Planet Suri, where the other inhabitants are, of course, her A-list parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. And the truth is that on this planet Suri is not just a little princess being doted on by her parents. In accordance with the doctrine of the Church of Scientology — of which her parents are devoted followers — she is apparently treated as an adult, free to make decisions on her clothes, make-up and diet.

A sunny day in Beverly Hills and in a beautifully manicured garden a little girl is celebrating her fifth birthday. She sits at the head of the table, dressed in her favourite turquoise sunglasses and a pretty pink dress. Nothing out of the ordinary, then. Except that while she unwraps a doll, the guests have to shout over the whirring of helicopters above. Because this is no ordinary five-year-old — this is Suri Cruise, and the helicopters contain paparazzi desperate to get a shot of the little girl who is surely becoming the most photographed child in the world. 

There’s no doubt that Suri is adorable, with a long curtain of conker-brown hair and the most bewitching slanted green eyes. But here the comparisons with most other children of her age end. Her taste in clothes runs to £1,300 Dolce & Gabbana trench coats and £500 miniature Marc Jacobs heels. She’s been credited — and blamed — for sparking a  multi-million-pound mania for putting pampered kids in designer labels. Thanks to a serious shopping habit that has been indulged ever since she was a toddler, her wardrobe is said to be worth £2 million. Little Suri has been wearing make-up for two years and was spotted earlier this year making selections at beauty chain Sephora in New York.

She favours pink lipstick for daytime and a dramatic slash of red at night. She also has her own designer bags to carry her books and cuddly toys — she has a smaller version of her mother’s Ferragamo Sofia bag, for instance, and often carries her very own £11,000 Hermes handbag. Little Miss Cruise even has such decisive views about her outfits that she has never been seen in trousers. And why shouldn’t she? Her father Tom, who was 43 when Suri was born, calls her his ‘fountain of youth’ and is clearly happy to spoil her rotten. ‘She likes to dress herself and wears whatever she wants,’ says Tom. ‘I’m not gonna tell her different.’

Pixie Lott launches new fashion range of skimpy dresses

She's always loved dressed up in something fun and flirty, so it was only natural for singer Pixie Lott to launch her own fashion line with favourite of the stars Lipsy. The 20-year-old singer premiered her latest range at a glitzy party in London last night - and wore something suitably floaty and floral.

The star launched her first collection for the label last year, and said that she loves the fact that she sees her peers out and about in her designs. Pixie had a quick change mid-party so she modelled two of her own outfits, one, a supremely skimpy floral number, which she teamed with tan brogues, and a brightly-coloured abstract print strapless number which she wore with neon blue wedge sandals. 

The Mama Do and Cry Me Out star had previously said that her dream models would be movie stars Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts. Pixie however had to do with Canadian singer and actress Jessica Lowndes, 22, star of the recent 90210 remake.

Pixie meanwhile flew in from Los Angeles yesterday in time for her big night last night. She's been out there for the past two months topping up her tan as well as working on her new album, the follow-up to her platinum-selling 2009 debut Turn It Up. It's due out in October, Pixie told guests at the event.

British pop sensation Jessie J continued her whirlwind tour of the States last night with a daring appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Dressed in a lacy leotard and a bondage-style cage skirt, the talented 23-year-old looked every inch the seasoned professional as she performed her hits Price Tag and Nobody's Perfect.

Londoner Jessie J has been busy promoting her album Who You Are in the states with a number of live mini-shows on Ellen, The Today Show and Jay Leno. Last year Simon Cowell declared himself a fan as well, so perhaps Jessie J's next stateside appearance will be on The X Factor...

Jessica Lowndes parties with DJ Ironik in see-through lace dress

After the duet "Falling in Love" Jessica Lowndes and DJ Ironik paired up again last Thursday as they hit central London. The 90210 actress shocked photographers in a see-through black mesh frock that clearly exposed her bra and midriff, after revealing this week that she is very much single. 

Jessica took her flimsy lace ensemble out to Embassy nightclub, where she partied alongside the British musician, real name James Charters. The 22-year-old Canadian-born actress was making no secret of  her night out with the DJ and posted a photograph of them together on Twitter. 

The star flew into Heathrow from LA earlier this week and has been rushing around taking part in promotional interviews for OK! TV and The Crush, as well as posing for a photo shoot with THAT magazine. She is trying to launch a successful music career on top of acting, but her Falling in Love track with Ironik, released last October, only made it to No40 in the charts. And after recently laughing off rumours of a romance with Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica has confirmed that she’s definitely single.

Kate Middleton designs her royal wedding dress

Kate Middleton has vowed to reveal nothing about her wedding dress until the moment she enters Westminster Abbey on Friday week. However, rumours are saying that she has actually designed it herself. The 29-year-old, who briefly worked for the High Street chain Jigsaw, has a keen interest in fashion. And as soon as her engagement was announced she took it upon herself to start creating her dream frock before she went to an established dressmaker to put her ideas into practice.

According to one impeccably-placed source, Kate has taken inspiration from her History of Art degree – particularly the Renaissance period, as she studied in Florence during her gap year. She has also included what is described as a ‘nod’ to the iconic Emanuel wedding dress worn by Lady Diana Spencer, but has avoided including any of its ‘flounce’.

Yesterday Sophie Cranston, of the low-key label Libelula, was tipped as the creator of the wedding dress. The bride-to-be stepped out in one of Miss Cranston’s vintage-inspired coats at a wedding in January, causing speculation that she might be in the running.

The gown in question is under lock and key at Clarence House. Rumours are saying that it is ivory satin and lace, with a pearl button detail and a 10ft train. One friend in the know said: ‘All we have been told is that the dressmaker is fairly unknown and from a relatively small design house. But make no mistake, whoever’s name emerges on the day, this is very much Catherine’s dress.’ Although he has been kept in the dark about the gown, William has agreed with Kate that she can auction it for charity after the big day, with the proceeds going to a range of charities including the Prince’s Trust.

Friends have also revealed that Kate plans to wear diamond-and- pearl earrings on the day, although it is not known if they are new or family heirlooms. She will borrow other pieces of jewellery from the Queen including, it is believed, a dazzling tiara. As for shoes, Kate was recently seen in the VIP shopping area of Selfridges London store along with her mother, Carole, and sister, Pippa, surrounded by a heap of stilettoes by designer brand Gina.

Buckingham Palace declined  to comment yesterday on  suggestions that William and Kate will become the Duke and Duchess of Strathearn. The title, which refers to an area of Perthshire and once belonged to Queen Victoria’s father, has not been in use since 1943. Tradition dictates that senior members of the Royal Family have a Scottish as well as an English title to cement the union of the two nations. As well as being Duke of Cornwall, Prince Charles is also Duke of Rothesay.

Kylie Minogue put on a suitably racy lacy frock when she was guest of honour at the opening of her stylist William Baker's new burlesque show last night. The 42-year-old star had donned an unusual pom-pom trimmed nude frock which rather saucily had a plunging lace-up front as well as killer nude peep toe Louboutins for the premiere in London.

Called 'The Hurly Burly' and tag-lined 'A contemporary burlesque review', the raunchy revue is directed by 37-year-old William and has just opened in the West End's Garrick Theatre. Kylie was taking a night off from her Aphrodite tour, which kicked off in Denmark in February, to support her friend in his new endeavour.

Josh Duhamel steals Justin Bieber's style, looking like a trendy Ken doll

Josh Duhamel decided to dress up as Justin Bieber for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. Since the real teen pop star couldn't attend the awards because he's currently on tour in Europe, Josh didn't want Justin's fans to go home without at least a little hint of Bieberness.

Everything from the trainers, to the bowtie, to the sunglasses, and even josh's posture, is perfectly Bieber. When taking a closer look, he also looks a little bit like a trendy Ken doll which came to life!

Nicki Minaj steps out in unflattering leather leotard and green wig

The 26-year-old rapper arrived at the Green Auction event held at the Rockefeller Centre in New York last night in a tight black leather cat suit with black leggings and heeled boots. Nicki Minaj’s appearance from the front was quite understated for the American singing star – despite the blonde and green wig and bright pink lips – and the leotard showed off her tiny waist and her enviable cleavage to perfection.

But while the view from the front was aesthetically pleasing from the back it was a very different style story and the high legged leotard did nothing to flatter her plentiful derriere. In fact, it was apparent the leotard was extremely ill fitting around her bottom and her back. But badly fitting clothing didn’t stop Nicki from taking to the stage to perform at the Christie’s Green Auction: Bid to Save The Earth event in New York.

The singer is no stranger to flaunting her fabulous curves in tight outfits and the night before, she treated Lil Wayne and his fans to a lap dance as part of the rapper’s I Am Music tour at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Nicki was dressed in a white and pink futuristic lycra catsuit as she performed on stage before gyrating on top of a lucky man was sat in a chair and appeared to be enjoying the view.

Minaj, who is no stranger to stealing the spotlight is the latest star to be considered as an X Factor judge.

David Beckham makes a rare appearance as a cover boy

He normally leaves the magazine shoots up to his fashionista wife Victoria. But footballer David Beckham made a rare appearance as a 'cover boy' for men's glossy Fantastic Man. The 35-year-old poses for the glossy a shoot by Alasdair McLellan at a pie and mash shop in David's native East London.

However, unlike his racy shots for Armani underwear and his fragrance ads, David is fully-clothed, dressed head-to-toe in designer gear. In the accompanying interview, the father-of-three speaks about his love for the traditional Cockney dish. He said: 'Being an East End boy, I do miss my pie and mash. 'I’ve been living out of England for the last eight or nine years. Whenever I can get down there, I get down there.'

Cover boy: The shoot marks one of David's rare magazine cover appearances

David and his wife Victoria revealed earlier this month they were expecting a baby girl - a sister for their three sons. It is believed the couple found out recently when Victoria had her 20 week scan. She is due in July. The Beckhams will attend the Royal Wedding next month before heading back to Los Angeles for their daughter’s birth. This is one of Victoria’s biggest problems at the moment - what will she wear? What does a six-months pregnant woman wear to the royal wedding?

Justin Bieber Wigs Out!

As he continues along with his overseas "My World" tour, Justin Bieber made time to tape an appearance on the popular German show "Wetten, Dass..." in Augsburg on Saturday night, wearing a black and red leather outfit and decides to amaze his fans by wearing a blonde wig.

 

With the episode airing Sunday morning, the "Never Say Never" star paid the visit after having a previously scheduled stop on the Thomas Gottschalk hosted variety show canceled due to an accident sending a stunt performer to the hospital. As for the appearance, Bieber took to the Augsburg fairground locale while partaking in an interview, solving a Rubik’s Cube when challenged by Michelle Hunziker, hugging a contestants’s daughter and performing for the audience.

Host Gottschalk also ended up putting a blonde wig on the "Baby" crooner - who was a bit resistant at first before finally obliging and placing the light locks atop his recently shortened coif.

Zac Efron - Looks like the single life isn’t hurting afterall!

Zac Efron NW Magazine‘s photoshoot just came out on the web. Zac Efron shirtless on the beach is a common sight these days. In fact, he was seen wearing short jeans and black & red checked shirt which he took off instantly, showing his brand new tattoo and his buff body while skateboarding. 

Zac posed shirtless in Aussie’s New Weekly magazine looking super hot. He has apparently packed on 18 pounds for his new movie “The Lucky One” in which Efron plays a marine. The movie based on the novel by Nicolas Sparks who also penned “The Notebook.”

Zac has just signed another movie deal; he’s to star in a Fredrik Bond’s action romance movie, which was previously titled "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman". In the film, the former High School Musical stud will play a suburban kid, who travels to Eastern Europe to discover himself. 

Christina Aguilera returns slimmer after drunken arrest

Christina Aguilera has made her first public appearance since her recent drunken arrest. The 30-year-old singer slipped into a slimming red dress, complete with a hight waisted belt and spiked Christian Louboutin heels, and was looking considerably trimmer than she has done in recent months. Pint-sized Christina, whose weight frequently fluctuates, was appearing at a press conference for her new reality show The Voice in Los Angeles.

The star, who had apparently done away with the fake tan tonight, has signed a deal with NBC to appear in the programme, which aims to find musical talent. She joins rapper and record producer Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, who were also at tonight's event, as a music coach.

Her red carpet turn comes just two weeks after she was arrested for public intoxication, which saw her being taken in by police in the early hours of the morning on March 1. Her boyfriend Matthew Rutler was arrested for driving under the influence in Los Angeles but left jail on a $30,000 bail. Aguilera was also released on bail and no charges were filed. Christina was Rutler’s passenger and the couple were pulled over when police caught the 25-year-old driving dangerously. Her arrest came amidst U.S. media reports saying the star’s friends have been encouraging her to enter rehab for some time. Since her marriage breakdown to Jordan Bratman last year, Aguilera has been under a noticeable about of strain.

She put in a disastrous Super Bowl performance in February, where she mixed up the words to the American National Anthem, and then collapsed on stage at the Grammy Awards, prompting fears for her health to escalate. But the Burlesque actress is trying to put her troubles in the background while she gets her mind back on her career. Speaking of her new TV show, The Voice, recently, Aguilera said: ‘I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. ‘To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.’

Olly Murs strips down to posing pouch at G.A.Y after losing a bet

Olly Murs made the crowd go wild at G.A.Y in London last night, but it was spurred on by his nudity, rather than his singing ability. The former X Factor contestant got X rated as he stripped down to a posing pouch as part of a bet with the club’s owner Jeremy Joseph.

Back in December Murs set the bet that if his single ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’ went to number one in the charts, he’d come back to the club and perform naked. His song took the top chart spot in September last year so Olly kept to his word and jumped up on stage without his suit – but ended up keeping his G-string and hat on. The cheeky cow thong saved the singer from being completely nude but the star seemed confident displaying his bare body anyway.

The excited crowd chanted ‘Get them off’ at Olly as he slowly stripped off his jeans and briefs. Essex-born Olly also lost ‘the guy who can buy the best Easter egg’ bet with Mr Joseph after being upstaged by the club owner. The 26-year-old thought he’d found the perfect Easter egg with his ‘Glee Egg’, but Jeremy won after presenting him with a collection of eggs taped together which left with Olly at the end of the night.

Despite seeming confident with being naked on stage, Murs has admitted that he worries about losing his figure and becoming ‘ugly, fat and useless’. He said ‘I’m really conscious about what I eat because I want to look my best. ‘I want to look back in five or 10 years’ time and think, ‘Oh, I looked pretty decent then!’
